“Sick Puppy” Is Killing It At Film Festivals Across the Country!

INDIE NIGHT FILM FESTIVAL at The Mann’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, January 14th, 2023

NEW 👉👉Sick Puppy is part of the 21st Annual Garden State Festival! Join us Sunday, March 26th at 12:15pm New Jersey.

I’m thrilled to be co-starring in the thriller “Sick Puppy.” I’m playing the villain, which is always fun for an actor. “Sick Puppy” is produced by Ryda 4 Life Filmz, starring and directed by Jaytee Thompson, who I’ve worked with on other projects. I’m so happy to work with them again.

My brother, Steve Alper, wrote the riveting screenplay.

Below are photos from several of the film festivals.

BEST ACTOR IN A SHORT- TOM ALPER!

ABOUT TOM

Born and raised in New York, Tom Alper moved to California at the age of 17 to pursue a career in journalism. Upon being accepted at the University of Southern California (USC) Tom was informed, during orientation, that his scholarship was only good for 2 years. So Tom immediately went across town and accepted his admittance to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). At that point Tom transitioned from journalism to creative writing, specifically short stories and plays. It was here that he discovered his true passion in life, acting.

For the past 25 years, Tom has acted in over 100 projects (plays, television and films.) Regardless of the medium, Tom's presence and passion permeates through every character he portrays. Some of Tom’s credits include the lead role in the feature film “The Guest House,” an award winning performance in the feature film “Frank Blue,” and “7 Days To Vegas” with Vince Van Patten and Paul Walter Hauser.  On television you’ve seen him in recurring roles on “Buried in the Backyard,” “Deep Undercover,’ “Betrayed” and “A Wedding and A Murder.”  Tom completed an original play “The Pitch” and it premiered in Los Angeles, May 2022 to sold-out audiences! It will be back!
